Etica promotes sustainability through business. We sell Fair Trade products in order to help artisans build better futures. Through Fair Trade, all of our producers are paid an honest livable wage for their hard work.
Etica works with producers from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the United States. The income generated by the producers is used to develop their communities, whether it be building new infrastructure or sending their children to school.
Our goal is to help these communities become self-sufficient while lessening their dependency on aid. By opening markets and purchasing directly from the producers, we are able to provide consumers with a wider range of high-quality Fair Trade products.
Etica connects consumers to the producers of their products, allowing consumers to know about the people they help by supporting fair business practices.

Tiffany received her Masters degree in Commercial Diplomacy from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and was recruited to work in China upon graduation. While living in China, she taught WTO trade policy classes to Chinese businessmen and government employees. Realizing how WTO rules were only benefiting a select few, Tiffany started exploring other trade relationships as a model for better business, economic growth and sustainable development.
Moving on from teaching, Tiffany began volunteering with Action Aid International China. At AAIC, Tiffany researched the impact the WTO's agricultural policies were having on poor farmers and minority groups. This research led to an understanding of the concept of "Fair Trade".
Tiffany's research on the "Fair Trade in China" project helped her identify the issues with Fair Trade throughout the country. This project allowed Tiffany to visit Fair Trade projects in Yunnan and Tibet, and interview Fair Trade Labeling Organization (FLO) tea certifiers. In the winter of 2005 Tiffany moved to London where she volunteered with the Fairtrade Foundation (the UK's equivalent of Transfair) where she helped with preparations for Fairtrade Fortnight, and the Trade Justice Movement's Fair Trade events at Whitehall. At this time Tiffany was also contacting Fair Trade suppliers and ordering samples as she was writing a business plan for Etica.
