Central Inter-Regional de Artesanos Del Peru is a non-profit organization representing 20 Peruvian artisan cooperatives serving 1,170 artisans. With great respect for the culture of the Andes and the Amazon, CIAP aims to improve the living conditions of the artisans and their families by developing the communities where the associations are located. Development projects aided by CIAP include; small business training, training for improving production techniques, financial management, providing health care, rotating loan funds, advances for purchasing raw materials, building community soup kitchens, and providing school supplies and books.
