Xochiquetzal
Xochiquetzal, a non-profit organization created in 1992, began developing craft micro businesses to improve the standard of living in rural Mexico.
The tin products sold by Etica Fair Trade were made in Oaxaca, a state with a long tradition and a historic past. Located in the southern part of Mexico, Oaxaca is well known for reflecting the creativity and tradition of the 16 indigenous cultures in the region. During the last 12 years, Xochiquetzal has worked with various artisan workshops that use tin plates to make Christmas tree decorations and a wide variety of candleholders and nativity scenes. |
