International Foundation for Fair Trade And Development
IFFAD was established in June 2000 as a non-profit organization in the southern Indian province of Tamil Nadu. Representing 34 producer groups, over 2500 artisans are benefiting from IFFAD’s market development initiatives. The wide-range of artisan groups include physically and mentally challenged disabled persons, traditional Indian craftsmen, women self-help groups, and rural villagers. In addition to market support, IFFAD provides artisans with professional training, product development, accounting services, and research. |
