The Kumbeshwar Technical School in Nepal is a self-sustaining non-profit, supporting an educational and vocational training institute for low-income families throughout the country. The school runs a free primary and nursery school, while looking after the welfare of orphans and destitute women. KTS also provides vocational training opportunities to women and young men in hand knitting, carpet weaving and furniture making. The income generated from the crafts support the school while providing artisans with livable wages.
